Hello, everyone! It's been a while since I've been able to write on here! Graduate life has been a wild ride, so far! I have been SO busy in the last 3 weeks, but I have been having an absolute blast! I've done 3 trips in 3 weeks, so y'all can only imagine the hectic fun I've been having! My first trip was the Wesley senior retreat to Big Bend! What a trip it was! 5 of us seniors were able to go, and our pastor, David McMinn, and his wife, Michelle, and daughters, Sophie and Amelia, went with us! We rented a duplex at Big Bend Resort. Beautiful desert mountains surrounded our site, and it made me feel like I wasn't even in Texas, anymore! We spent our time exploring an old ghost town, hiking and even went on a rafting tour down the Rio Grande! We, also, had a devotional and worship time together. It was such a bittersweet trip. It was wonderful to spend time with my Wesley family, but it, also, marked the closing of my time at the Wesley as a college student. I've been so incredibly blessed through that organization, and I know that finding another group with as many loving, accepting and God-serving people will be a challenge! My second trip was to Florida with my sister! We had an ABSOLUTE blast and very relaxing time. We stayed at an AirBnB home (for those of you who do not know what that is- it is a company where people from all over the world rent out homes and rooms for much cheaper than hotels!). It was about 10 minutes from the beach, so it was absolutely perfect. We had an amazing time lazying by the ocean, riding blowup whales in the sea (as seen above, haha), visiting the shops, going to a mirror maze at Ripley's Believe It or Not! and just enjoying the perfect weather! The last trip that I took was a DeLaney girls weekend in Dallas! My mom, sister and I stayed at the Hilton Garden Hotel in downtown Dallas and had an absolute HOOT. We explored the city, had lunch with my grandma one day, ate at restaurants, visited Reunion Tower, rode the Dart, and my favorite part was the segway tour we took! It was an absolute BLAST! I had never ridden a segway before, and it was, by NO means, a letdown! All three of us had the time of our lives racing down the streets of Dallas looking extremely touristy. Haha. The time I got to spend with my mom and sister was absolutely precious to me, especially with my upcoming Discipleship Training School with YWAM, where I will be away from my family for 5 months. It was such a blessing and such a fun time.
Graduate life, so far, has been quite exciting, but I am ready for some time back at home, now! Until next time, Olivia
