Hello, friends and family!
I am so excited that you are here to keep up with my life as I prepare to graduate in eight days! It's absolutely crazy to think that in JUST eight days I will be walking across that stage into a new life. My mom always told me that college would fly by. I never knew it would fly by this quickly, though. Although freshman year almost seems like a lifetime ago, when I think back on the time in between then and now it seems like a blur. When I started out, it was like starting a new book. There's so much to be read that you don't even think about how quickly it will go by. Before you know it, though, you see how few pages are left, and the dread of having to finish that book and start a new one sets in. You realize how much you are going to miss it- the adventures, the characters that you've been introduced to, even just the familiarity of it. It's so comfortable to keep reading the same book, especially if it is one you love. A new book is different, and you aren't guaranteed that you will like it. The time comes, though, when you have to close the old, familiar pages and continue to what is next. That's where I am at, right now, and it is a weird place to be. Being on the edge of full-fledged adulthood is rather intimidating, especially since I still feel more like a kid than an adult, right now. It's just one of those things that I just have to jump into, ready or not, and make the best of my situation. I am excited to see where it all takes me, and I am excited for you to follow along! -Olivia
